Shattered By C.C. Brown

When it rains it pours….

Hard-nosed and self-reliant Dallis O'Brien has had her fair share of devastation. Her father's tragic accident sparked what seemed like a domino effect of heartbreak and loss. Unable to shake the fear of enduring any more pain, she builds walls around her heart, hoping to heal on her own.

Dallis' road to recovery is disrupted when she meets Grayson Rivera, a tattooed, coffee shop owner who, by appearances alone, isn't her typical match. Stubborn and hesitant to let him in, Dallis finally succumbs to Grayson's persistence, where he challenges her to face her loss while also having the walls of her heart broken down.

With Grayson's assistance, Dallis must decide if she is willing to learn how to be weak in order to be strong.
I read this one a few weeks ago, but just like all her books it hit the spot. Dallis is a girl who's been through a world of pain. She needs time to really come to terms with everything that has happened to her. Out one night with her boyfriend and some friends at the local coffee shop she meets Grayson their is an undeniable attraction, but what can you do when your out with your man?
After Dallis and her long time boyfriend break up Dallis finds herself working for Grayson they start out skimming the surface with each other Dallis isn't ready for anything more, but Grayson is relentless.
Grayson is super sweet and helps Dallis come to terms with all of her losses. They really get each other and I think they do very well together. This was one of those books you had to step back and really try to appreciate your life because obviously it can get much worse right when you don't think it's even possible to.
This is a 5 star read and very emotional on the soul.
